STEL★LEO is an electronic producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ hailing from the island of Bermuda. His distinctive sound has been crafted by a love for early 2000’s hip-hop, 90’s FM video game arpeggiations, a fascination for the varying emotive responses to the tones of different drum machines, and the rhythmic influences of calypso, reggae, and dancehall that defined his childhood. With the popularity of hip-hop inspired EDM saturating the electronic musical landscape, STEL★LEO brings an innovative and unprecedented twist to this prevalent style, while inconspicuously blurs the lines between genres. STEL★LEO has had releases on Team Supreme (LA) and Top Cats beat cyphers, ChildMe (France), HNDMD, TheMOB (Boston), and cofounded label Friends With Robots. STEL★LEO’s eclectic tastes and adept DJ skills have landed him shows with accomplished producers such as Stwo [Huh What & Where], Supreme Cuts, SevnthWonder, JSTJR [Mad Decent & Fools Gold], Choppa Dunks [Buygore], and G-Buck [Mad Decent].
